"We can do no great things; only small things with great love." Mother Theresa

Mother Theresa: A selfless servant leader who dedicated her life to making others lives better. Through starting “The Missionaries of Charity” she saved many lives. She also taught us many things such as how to put others before we think of ourselves. She brought societies together because of the work she did.

Mother Theresa

Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu was born on August 26th in Skopje, Macedonia. She chose the name Theresa to honour the patron saint of foreign missionaries, Saint Teresa of Liseux. Mother Theresa did so many incredible things in her life. The best part was that instead of all the accomplishments she had made being for herself they were for God's people. She won many awards including the Noble Peace Prize in 1971. The money that she won from those awards went to help funding her shelters. Mother Theresa took her initial vows as a nun on May 24th, 1931. After severing for over 45 years she passed away on September 5th 1997. Mother Theresa is an excellent example of putting love into action.
